Solaris Potestas
The Solaris Potestas project provides the opportunity for students to design, make and evaluate a land based vehicle to be powered by solar energy with the objective of delivering water to rural and remote communities (in model form for the project). The project uses a design process and provides opportunities for students to develop scientific and mathematical concepts during research.
Activities focused on science and mathematics have been developed which challenge students’ understanding of the engineering concepts in order to design and construct a vehicle that is powered by solar energy.
